Registration and SwimTopia

• Registration for the 2026 Dunn Loring Swim Team is closed.
• SwimTopia is our main hub for all things swim team: communications, event calendar, meet and volunteer sign-up, practice information, etc.

Practices

• After school practices start the Tuesday after Memorial Day.
• Morning practices begin after Fairfax County Public School ends.
• Mini-dolphin and Spinners practice will start Monday June 22nd.

Volunteer Information

Our programs could not operate without the effort of volunteers from each family. We ask that each family volunteer 15 hours over the course of the season. Families can sign up to volunteer on SwimTopia for any event on our calendar. In addition, there are a number of season-long volunteer coordinator roles and one-off volunteer opportunities. Communications

1. Weekly emails: Email with pertinent information are sent to the email address provided upon registration. If you want to include additional family members to receive these updates, update your SwimTopia profile.
2. Facebook: The Dunn Loring Swim and Dive team Facebook page is a non-public forum for families to post and ask questions related to swim team, share photos from events, etc. Please request access.

Health & Safety Considerations

• Sick Policy – Consistent with pool policy, swimmers who are sick should not come to the pool for practice, meets or other events and should not return until they have recovered to reduce the risk of spreading illnesses.
• Allergies, Special Medical Considerations & Food – Update the medical portion of your swimmer’s profile in SwimTopia. There will be food. If your swimmer has any dietary restrictions, please let us know!
• Concussion Awareness - The NVSL, Dunn Loring included, has a concussion policy in place with coach education and certification. The policy follows the CDC’s Heads Up Concussion training and certification for coaches. View the Concussion fact sheet here.
• Weather-related closures – Weather related closures impacting swim and/or dive team events will be announced as quickly as possible via SwimTopia as well as posted on the team's Facebook page.
