Patch Prep Program
Want to get a head start on preparing for the Patch Test? Need a little practice so you can be ready to join Mini Dolphins?
Program Description:
The Patch Prep Program is appropriate for swimmers aged 4-8 who would like to work on their basic swim skills with the goal of passing the Patch Test. During the Patch Prep Program, swimmers will work with lifeguard certified coaches on stroke mechanics, treading water, and floating. At the end of the Patch Prep Program, participants will do a mock patch test (swim one length of the pool, tread water for 60s, and float on one's back for 30 seconds). Note that the "real" Patch Test must be administered by a Dunn Loring Life Guard during regular operating hours of the pool.
Registration is open to all DLSC members.
Program Dates, Location & Cost:
Sessions will be held weekly starting in May. Participants will sign up for 4, 30-minute sessions that work best for them. Access to sign up for sessions will be provided via email using our team website after registration. Space may be limited to ensure a proper coach to swimmer ratio.

The program is led by the Dunn Loring Swim Team coaches, all of whom are certified life guards.
Registration is $50 for four sessions. Additional sessions can be purchased separately for $12.50 per session during check out.
