Dunn Loring Dolphins

Hey Dunn Loring Community - I am so excited to be the Dunn Loring Dolphin Head Coach this summer!  This is my fifth-year coaching at Dunn Loring and I can't wait for another fun summer with Dunn Loring swim team. I love working with swimmers to not only meet their personal goals, but to develop a love for swimming and foster the camaraderie that makes being a Dunn Loring Dolphin so special. I have been the Head Coach for the Dunn Loring Winter Swim program for the past two years and I currently coach with Nation’s Capital Swim Club (NCAP). I also previously coached at the St. James as part of their stroke development program. 

I attend American University, majoring in Political Science and Public Relations, and compete with their Club Swim team. Outside of school and the pool I love to travel and spend time with my family. I am excited for this summer, Go Dolphins!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Ana Falzone. I will be working with the 13+ age group and this is my third year coaching at DL. I swim year-round for NCAP and I am a rising senior at Mclean High School. I love swimming the individual medley. So excited for another summer!

Hi, My name is Emma. This is my second year as a coach for Dunn Loring. I have been swimming for the past eight years as a Nation’s Capital Swim Club member and am currently a sophomore at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Tech. I enjoy spending my free time painting, drawing, or baking sweets. I can't wait to start working with the 11-12 group!

My name is Enoch Zimmerman and I have been on the Dunn Loring Swim Team since I was 5. This is my fourth year coaching at Dunn Loring. My favorite strokes are butterfly and freestyle. I swim for Machine and was a captain on the Madison HS swim team. I love to make digital art, and I’m super excited to be the 13-14 coach this year!

Hi! My name is Kate McDermott and I’m so excited to be the 8 and under assistant coach this year! This is my third year of coaching at DL. I’m a rising senior at Marshall High School, where I’m a captain of the girls swim team, and I also swim year-round for NCAP. I’ve been a Dolphin since I was 8 and I can’t wait for another great summer at the pool!

Hello! My name is Nick O’Hearn. I’ve been a dunn loring dolphin my whole life, and I was a captain for Marshall High School swim this past season. I’m very excited to be coaching 11-12s! I love doing cheers with the team before A meets, and my favorite event is the 50 fly! Go dolphins!!

Hi Dunn Loring families! My name is Zach Yashar and this is my third year coaching at Dunn Loring. I have been a Dolphin since I was 7 and always loved the swim team. My favorite strokes are butterfly and freestyle, and my favorite parts of swim team are the game days and the community. I currently attend the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign going into my Sophomore year. Outside of the pool you can find me playing baseball, volleyball, or spending time with my family. Can't wait to see everyone at the pool this summer, and coach the 9-10s!

Hi Dunn Loring Dolphins! My name is Penelope O'Hearn and I'm so excited for my first year as a coach! I'm a rising junior at Marshall High School and am on the varsity swim team, and I currently swim year-round with NCAP. I love being at DL during the summer and can't wait to see you all at the pool!!

My name is Sofía Baldeón Masturzo and I’ve been a Dunn Loring Dolphin for seven years. I am a member of the Marshall High School Varsity Swim Team and alsoswim year-round for NCAP.

This is my first year as a Junior Coach for the 8 & Under swimmers; I’m excited to be reunited with the younger team members I’ve met through helping with Mini Dolphin attendance and Winter Swim. We are going to have so much fun swimming hard and strong together!

Hi Dolphins! My name is Sophia Georgieva and I'm so excited to be working with the Dunn Loring team as a first-year coach! I’m a rising junior at Marshall High School and am on the varsity swim team. I’ve been a club team swimmer for 10 years and currently swim year-round with NCAP. I can’t wait to work with the young swimmers to share my love of the sport!

Hi! My name is Caroline Gleditsch and I am a rising Senior at Marshall High School. I have been with the dolphins for 10 years and this will be my second year as a coach. I swim year round at NCAP swim club as well as Marshall’s team during the winter. I am looking forward to coaching the minis again this Summer! Go Dolphins!

My name is Elise Yashar, and I have been a member of the Dunn Loring Swim Team since I was 6 years old, and it is my favorite part of the summer! I love all the team building activities, and believe that it’s a great way to make lasting friendships. I am also patient with kids and I’m super excited for this to be my first year coaching them!
